La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport report that new Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali aims to assemble a stronger Italian core at the Allianz Stadium to help coach Luciano Spalletti build a clear identity next season.
Gazzetta suggests the summer shortlist includes Liverpool duo Federico Chiesa and Giovanni Leoni, along with Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour.
Gazzetta adds that Fiorentina view Ndour as central to their future, and that Juventus could include Fabio Miretti in a player-plus-cash proposal. It also says the Bianconeri are monitoring Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, who might reunite with Carnevali after spending his entire career at the club.
Chiesa has already said he did not want to leave Juventus in 2024 and is open to returning to the Allianz Stadium.
Leoni endured a difficult first season at Liverpool, suffering a cruciate ligament injury on his debut that ruled him out for the entire campaign.
