The hosts will be looking to respond to a Coppa Italia exit against Atalanta, while Lazio is buoyed by a dramatic late win over Genoa.
Juventus come into this Serie A clash with a relatively clean bill of health, with Dusan Vlahovic and Arkadiusz Milik the only confirmed injury absentees according to the latest updates.
Both forwards have been sidelined with tendon and muscle problems respectively, and are not expected to feature until later in February or early March.
Luciano Spalletti is again expected to turn to Jonathan David to lead the line. The Canadian will be supported by a fluid attacking unit that includes Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie.
Juventus is expected to field its strong XI with Michele Di Gregorio in goal, a back four of Andrea Cambiaso, Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly and Bremer, and a midfield pivot of Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram.
Spalletti has repeatedly stressed the need for his Juventus side to control games with the ball and maintain consistency, insisting recently that “we have quality, and we have to start from here” and that the team must “move towards victory and not the other way around.”
Lazio travels to Turin with a stretched squad and a significant list of absentees. Left-back Luca Pellegrini is suspended and unable to face his former club, while Mattia Zaccagni, Samuel Gigot, and Manuel Lazzari are all ruled out through injury. Also, Alessio Romagnoli is doubtful.
Lazzari has been diagnosed with a calf strain and is expected to miss around three weeks. In midfield and attack, Danilo Cataldi, Toma Basic and Kenneth Taylor are expected to form the central trio, with Gustav Isaksen and Daniel Maldini supporting veteran winger Pedro, who is poised to make his 150th Serie A appearance for Lazio.
Juventus have won seven of their last nine Serie A matches, scoring 21 goals in that run – a tally bettered only by Inter over the same period.
That surge has lifted them into the top four, with 13 wins, six draws and four defeats from 23 league games so far, placing them fourth in the table before this round of fixtures.
Their only recent setback came in the Coppa Italia, where they were beaten 3-0 away at Atalanta in the quarter-finals.
Lazio sit eighth in Serie A with eight wins, eight draws and seven defeats from 23 matches, reflecting an inconsistent campaign under Sarri’s second spell in charge.
Their recent league form has been mixed. A 3-0 home defeat to Como and a goalless draw at Lecce were offset by a 1-0 away win at Verona and, most recently, a chaotic 3-2 home victory over Genoa settled by Cataldi’s 100th-minute penalty.
Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, McKennie, Yildiz; David.
Lazio: Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Provstgaard, Tavares; Basic, Cataldi, Taylor; Isaksen, Maldini, Pedro.
In the UK, the match will be shown live on TNT Sports 1, and you can also stream it via Discovery+ / DAZN (TNT Sports via Discovery+).
