Match Day 4 proved to be one to forget for K League's AFC Champions League Elite sides, with no goals scored and just one point gained. In AFC Champions League Two, Pohang Steelers had to settle for a point.

AFC Champions League Elite

FC Seoul 0-0 Chengdu Rongcheng

FC Seoul were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Chengdu Rongcheng on Tuesday, despite enjoying the lion's share of possession with 63%. Kim Gi-dong's men, though, only registered two shots on target from six overall; Seo Jung-won's Chengdu failed to register a single shot on target at all. It was a missed opportunity for Seoul, who have since slipped to ninth. It means the capital club have managed just one win since their return to AFC Champions League competition.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1-0 Gangwon FC

With domestic targets secured, Gangwon FC gaffer Jeong Kyung-hyo was able to field a stronger team in his side's midweek AFC Champions League tie away to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. However, the Bears suffered their second 1-0 away loss of the competition, falling to a Mutsuki Kato goal just after the hour mark. Even with the hosts down to 10 men for the last 20 minutes, Gangwon were unable to register a single shot on target from six overall and 63% possession.

Vissel Kobe 1-0 Ulsan HD

Ulsan HD's K League 1 status takes priority, with a huge clash with Suwon FC coming up this Sunday. This meant a much rotated side, with nine changes made to the XI that faced FC Anyang, took to the field away to Vissel Kobe. The outcome was Ulsan's first loss in this season's ACLE, 1-0 via a Patrick strike on 58 minutes, and second on the bounce under caretaker manager Noh Sang-rae. Ulsan were limited to just 36% possession but still managed to register 10 shots, five of which hit the target. Despite the loss, the Horangi sit fourth.

AFC Champions League Two

Pohang Steelers 1-1 Tampines Rovers

Pohang were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Tampines Rovers on Thursday, meaning it is the Singaporeans who hold top spot in Group H. It was a similar story to the first meeting in Singapore, where Pohang went behind despite dominating possession. Glenn Kweh gave the visitors the lead on 56 minutes, but Cho Sang-hyeok levelled three minutes from time to salvage a draw. The Steelers, throughout the course of the 90 minutes, had 72% possession and 28 shots, but only six found the target. Tampines Rovers found the back of the net with their only shot on target.  Rovers sit top of the group, three points clear of Pohang, who sit third and hold a narrow one-point-lead over BG Pathum United who they face next.
