Kai Havertz has returned to Arsenal training after four months out following knee surgery, as shown in a club video on Tuesday.
The footage arrived ahead of Arsenal’s League Cup tie that finished 1-1, before they beat Crystal Palace 8-7 on pens to reach the semi-finals.
He was welcomed by a guard of honour from team-mates before the session.
He missed three months last season. This season he has played only 30 minutes, on the opening day against Manchester United, a 1-0 win, before suffering a knee injury and undergoing surgery in late August.
The Germany international, 26, has 55 caps and can now attempt to push for a 2026 World Cup place by earning minutes with the Gunners.
First comes club duty with Mikel Arteta’s Premier League leaders, who host Brighton on Saturday at 16:00, a day after Boxing Day.
