Kaio César is expected in Brazil on Monday to complete a medical and sign for Corinthians, with his arrival scheduled for late afternoon.

The winger featured on Sunday in Al-Hilal's 1-1 draw with Al-Riyadh in the 17th round of the Saudi league, coming on for Hamad Al-Yami, and headed straight to Riyadh airport after the match.

Football executive Marcelo Paz told Record they will work to have him registered and available to face Flamengo in Sunday's Supercopa do Brasil final, while he is unlikely to be involved against Bahia.

Paz added that Kaio has been playing, so there are no fitness issues, and he arrives ready to contribute, though he will still need to absorb Dorival Júnior's instructions.

Corinthians and Al-Hilal had agreed he would remain for two extra matches to help cover absences. This season, which began in August, he has made 16 appearances, including six starts, scoring once and supplying three assists.

A right-sided forward directly recommended by Dorival Júnior, he is viewed as an important addition to add depth and pace, having previously played for Coritiba and Vitória de Guimarães. Corinthians open their Campeonato Brasileiro campaign against Bahia on Wednesday at Vila Belmiro at 20:00.
