Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has revealed Brandon Petersen's ambitions to return to the Bafana Bafana fold.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper has kept nine clean sheets in 13 matches played across all competitions.
Now, the Tunisian mentor has endorsed the Amakhosi goalminder to make the final AFCON squad, urging him to put in the work in order to catch the eye of national team head coach Hugo Broos.
“I think every game we say congratulations for Peterson, congratulations for the goalkeeper coach Ilyes [Mzoughi] for the job he is doing with him,” said Ben Youssef.
"The target of Peterson is to come back to Bafana Bafana, to be part of the national team, that's his target in his life and we are following him.
"I think he needs to continue to work to put pressure on the coach of the national team - why not be part of the squad in AFCON.
