Karim Adeyemi was subject to a Borussia Dortmund departure in January with interest from Napoli as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but the German forward rejected a move to the Italian side.
Sky Germany now report that Adeyemi will now be represented by Roof Agency and advised by Giuseppe Pisano and Andreas Ottl – the duo were in Dortmund today for talks with sporting director Sebastian Kehl. Despite concrete interest from Napoli, the 23-year-old sees his immediate future at Borussia Dortmund, and wants to continue to develop at the club.
Adeyemi has been sidelined for much of the campaign with following a muscular injury, limiting the player’s appearances to 16 across all competitions, with the Germany international scoring five and creating a further six.
Borussia Dortmund (11th) host Stuttgart (5th) on Saturday afternoon with 32 points separating the two teams. It will also be Niko Kovac’s first game in charge of the club following his appointment as Nuri Sahin’s successor.
