Manchester United are always looking to enhance their attacking options.

The deflating 0-1 loss to Everton on Monday demonstrated the lack of attacking depth that the team has.

The Red Devils could not cope with injuries to Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha and were incredibly wasteful in front of goal.

One attacker that United have been linked to is Borussia Dortmund’s young star.

Adeyemi has reportedly been at the centre of talks involving his agent Jorge Mendes and United.

Nonetheless, United face significant competition for the attacker as Arsenal are supposedly the player’s preferred destination.

In addition, it has been reported that Mendes has offered the player to Real Madrid in an attempt to lure the Spanish giants into a transfer battle.

Sale price revealed

Spanish outlet Fichajes reveal that “Karim Adeyemi’s name is once again at the forefront of the European market. Borussia Dortmund has decided to set a price tag of £75 million to consider his sale, a figure that has attracted several giants in search of a game-changing winger.”

Reportedly, “Borussia Dortmund’s management understands that their attacker has reached a level of footballing maturity that makes him a strategic piece in the current project. His recent growth and immediate impact justify the asking price, a figure that also reflects the growing competition in the market.”

Talks for a contract renewal have led to nowhere, so Dortmund want to begin negotiations for a sale soon to keep control of the situation and not miss out on value.

It is reported that Adeyemi prefers the Premier League and a more physical style of football which is great news for the chasing United and Arsenal.

United would like to strike a deal in January to help plug their player loss to the African Cup of Nations but they reportedly know an agreement in winter is unlikely.

The report concludes that, “if Arsenal or Manchester United decide to move forward, they will have to accept Borussia Dortmund’s conditions and present a project capable of convincing the German striker. Everything points to his future being decided in the coming months, with the transfer market once again revolving around growing potential.”
