Karl Darlow is weighing up his next move after leaving Leeds at the end of his contract earlier this week. The Daily Mail reports that Everton and Manchester United have put contracts on the table, with Leeds also submitting terms.
The 35-year-old ended the 2025/26 campaign as Daniel Farke’s first choice, replacing £16 million summer signing Lucas Perri in January. He started 22 Premier League matches and kept five clean sheets.
Any role at Everton or Manchester United would be as back-up to Jordan Pickford and Senne Lammens respectively, so game time might be limited. A return to Leeds could offer a clearer path to minutes.
Darlow is also believed to have held talks with Tottenham before they signed Martin Dubravka following his Burnley free-agent exit. He is understood to be contemplating his next step.
Leeds face a fraught summer in goal. Darlow is unattached, Perri’s debut season raised further questions, Illan Meslier has left and has since emerged as a potential back-up for Arsenal, and fellow stopper Alex Cairns is out of contract but has reportedly agreed a new deal.
