Sam Kerr marked her first Chelsea start in almost two years with a brace as the Blues cruised to a 6–0 win over St Pölten in the Women’s Champions League.
Wieke Kaptein put Chelsea ahead early, finishing off Ellie Carpenter’s low cross, before Catarina Macario doubled the lead with a neat strike from the edge of the box.
The American forward then made it three from the penalty spot shortly after the break.
After missing a few earlier chances, Kerr finally got her goal 15 minutes from time, slotting home from Kaptein’s pass.
Lauren James marked her return with a deflected effort for the fifth, before Kerr headed in her second in stoppage time to round off a dominant display.
Chelsea were in total control throughout, producing over 40 shots and securing back-to-back Champions League wins in style.
