Even a genius like Pep Guardiola fail to overturn the things when the time isn’t going good. Manchester City experienced another loss as they registered a 1-2 defeat by the hands of Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Defence
Ederson couldn’t start in the previous game as he wasn’t feeling well. If he fails to get the green light, Stefan Ortega should be operating between the sticks once again.
The Citizens have limited options in the defensive pack which could make way for Kyle Walker to come in. He will form the backline alongside the likes of Manuel Akanji and Josko Gvardiol.

Midfield
Mateo Kovacic couldn’t deliver much in the middle of the park and he needs to step up immediately. The Croatian will have the company of Rico Lewis to control the tempo of the game.
Bernardo Silva is providing the width on the right flank with Phil Foden operating in the central area. Kevin de Bruyne didn’t feature against the Villans and hence, he could be seen in the starting lineup this week. Jack Grealish retains his position in the lineup.
Erling Haaland leads the offensive line but his form is a bit concerning. He doesn’t contribute much in the build-up and fails when his side is struggling to create chances for him.
Rodri (knee), Oscar Bobb (leg), Ruben Dias (muscle), Nathan Ake (thigh), and John Stones (foot) are confirmed absentees while Ederson (illness) and Matheus Nunes (knock) are doubtful.
