A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is expected to be left out of the club’s next starting XI.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question.
Wide-man Raphinha is for his part fresh off playing his part in a 2nd outing of the international break.
After featuring from the off in a 3-0 win over Chile with Brazil, the former Leeds United man was then introduced off the bench in a 1-0 defeat in Bolivia.
As much means that the 28-year-old is likely to be heavily fatigued upon landing back in Catalunya’s capital this week.
Not only that, but his arrival will come several days after the majority of Hansi Flick’s squad.
And for precisely these reasons, it is considered as highly likely that Raphinha will be forced to make do with a spot on the bench against Valencia this weekend.
Marcus Rashford is considered the favourite to fill the left wing berth in Barcelona’s XI.
