Kilmarnock beat Aberdeen 3-0 at Rugby Park, with Bradley Lyons and Bruce Anderson striking before Graeme Shinnie's red card set up Tyreece John-Jules to seal it.

Lyons headed in the opener in the 12th minute, meeting Greg Kiltie's cross after a corner. Moments later, Anderson swept in from outside the box (14.) after linking up with John-Jules to give the hosts control.

Kelle Roos kept it that way with sharp stops from Stuart Armstrong before and after the interval, while Kilmarnock continued to force chances from wide areas.

Shinnie was sent off for Aberdeen (51.), and VAR confirmed the decision two minutes later (53.). The hosts cashed in soon after as John-Jules finished high from Anderson's cross (59.).

Kilmarnock registered 19 attempts and 54.9% possession as their front pair combined decisively. The Dons managed eight attempts and four on target, but the dismissal left them chasing shadows.

Next, Kilmarnock visit Rangers. The Dons host Celtic.
