FC Porto could face a €25m bill in June, split between a €17m obligation for Jakub Kiwior and an €8m option for Terem Moffi. According to O Jogo, the outlay would fall into the next accounting period.
Kiwior’s loan includes a clause that can be activated by either club, which would oblige Porto to complete a permanent move from Arsenal. Moffi can be signed from Nice for €8m if the club choose to proceed.
January business was restrained. Four players arrived, yet only Oskar Pietuszewski carries immediate cost, potentially up to €10m including add-ons. Thiago Silva rejoined for free and Fofana came on a no-fee loan with no purchase option.
Last summer Porto completed their biggest window, as president André Villas-Boas trailed when unveiling Francesco Farioli. They added Bednarek, Prpic, Kiwior, Froholdt, Pablo Rosario, Borja Sainz, Alberto Costa and Luuk de Jong, plus Gabri Veiga before the Club World Cup, triggered Nehuén Pérez’s clause and increased their share of Samu, taking spending beyond €100m.
Moffi’s future at the Dragão is linked to Luuk de Jong’s situation or a possible departure for Samu. The club have pushed major payments to the end of this financial year, or the start of the next, to protect the books, as with Nehuén Pérez last season.
