"Messi wants to bring everyone to MLS! He wants to make a private MLS league!" Kleberson told Goal.com, as he suggested Neymar to Inter Miami could yet happen.

After returning to Brazil to build fitness for the 2026 World Cup, Neymar extended his Santos stay following another operation, with terms to the end of another calendar year, and could revisit MLS then, while Messi is tied to Miami through 2028.

"There are some rumours," he said. "I believe, 100 per cent, that if he needs to move then the only league he can go to is MLS."

"After the World Cup, probably in his mind it will be different in terms of the level he is playing," Kleberson added. "I believe he will try and move to MLS."

"If Neymar is fit, then I think it works, I really do because he’s still a huge name in certain parts of the US," said Brad Friedel. "I would probably be 55 for it and 45 against."

"Wow, imagine that happening, America is going to go crazy!" Kleberson said of the prospect of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Messi, and maybe Neymar, in Miami. "It’s a dream team!"

Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, lifted the 2025 MLS Cup and continue to chase Galactico-style signings.
