Kleindienst a big doubt for Eintracht clash: "It will be tight" | OneFootball

Borussia Mönchengladbach are set to make a late decision on the availability of star striker Tim Kleindienst for their upcoming Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Germany international is struggling with a calf problem, Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane revealed at a press conference on Thursday.

“Tim Kleindienst is a doubt because of a calf problem. It will be tight, but we're hoping he'll be fit,” Seoane revealed.

Seoane mentioned Tomas Cvancara and Shio Fukuda as possible alternatives should Kleindienst miss out.

“It's clear that Tim is extremely important for us - not only because of his goals, but also because of the way he plays - but we've had a number of important players missing in recent weeks, which we've made up for as a team,” he said.

On the bright side for Gladbach, French striker Alassane Plea is making progress in his recovery from injury.

“Alassane Plea has been involved in parts of team training again for the first time today. I don't know yet if he will be an option for the squad,” said the Gladbach coach.
