Kobbie Mainoo’s future has been a big talking point at Manchester United in recent weeks.
The 20-year-old has been left frustrated with limited first-team opportunities at Old Trafford.
But The Sun reports Mainoo does not want to leave the Red Devils and is determined to revive his career in Manchester.
The youngster was a regular starter under previous manager Erik ten Hag, but he has been reduced to a peripheral role under Ruben Amorim.
Mainoo has featured 11 times in the Premier League this season, but all of them have come off the bench.
With Bruno Fernandes sidelined with a long-term injury, the England international would likely have started in midfield.
But he also picked up a calf issue and has missed the previous three matches for United.
Mainoo’s brother caused a stir last month by wearing a ‘Free Kobbie Mainoo’ t-shirt during the game against Bournemouth.
But Amorim played down the impact of the provocative shirt, saying he would not punish the midfielder for the actions of a family member.
Mainoo is contracted with United until 2027, with the club also having an option of an additional year.
Napoli have been credited with an interest in the young player, but the Red Devils are unwilling to let their prized asset leave in the middle of the season.
United are already without three key stars in Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui due to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
