Kökçü caps Beşiktaş fightback to keep top-five grip

Beşiktaş beat Konyaspor 2-1 on Saturday in İstanbul as Orkun Kökçü's second half winner kept the hosts fifth in the Süper Lig.
Deniz Turuc struck in the 23rd minute after Jackson Muleka's through ball, but Vaclav Cerny levelled from close range (34.).
After the restart, Kara Kartal pressed and Kökçü drilled in from a tight angle to the bottom right (77.).
A VAR review upgraded the decision and Kristjan Asllani was sent off (82.).
Bahadir Güngördü made eight saves across the game to keep Konyaspor in contention. Cengiz Under also rattled the upright before the interval, while Kökçü had earlier hit the post from a free kick.
Kara Kartal registered 22 attempts and 59.8% possession. Konyaspor produced nine attempts, with two on target.
