Köln are closing in on the signings of Gideon Mensah and Paul Okon-Engstler as they bolster for 2026-27, the pair expected to add depth at left-back and in central midfield.
Fabrizio Romano says the 21-year-old will complete a move from Sydney FC shortly, with a fee of around €one million and a medical and signing scheduled for next week.

Mensah has an agreement to join on a free, subject to a medical today, Friday 10 July.
The 27-year-old was in Ghana's World Cup squad, playing 90 minutes in each of their four matches.
Okon-Engstler featured in all four of Australia's World Cup games, starting two before their elimination by Egypt.
