Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany is keen on signing Victor Osimhen as a replacement for Harry Kane, according to Foot Mercato.

Osimhen was linked with Bayern and several clubs in Europe’s big five leagues before joining Galatasaray in 2024.

The Nigerian international has continued to impress at Galatasaray, winning the top scorer award in his debut season.

Osimhen is fourth on the Champions League top scorer’s chart this season with seven goals, underlining his credentials as one of Europe’s leading strikers.

The 27-year-old would be an ideal replacement for Kane, given his quality and his ability to deliver on the big stage, as shown in his time with Napoli and Galatasaray.

However, a move is unlikely to happen next summer, given Kane’s remarkable form. The 32-year-old has scored 45 goals across all competitions this term – the most in Europe’s top five leagues.

Kane’s fitness is also showing no signs of decline, having yet to miss a game this term.

Paris Saint-Germain are not in the race to sign Osimhen. His price tag and salary are considered exorbitant, while manager Luis Enrique is not keen on him.

Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also shown no interest in the Galatasaray striker.

However, Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs are still weighing up a move for Osimhen, but he prefers to remain in Europe.

Osimhen is enjoying a remarkable time at Galatasaray, and only an irresistible offer could make him leave.
