🤝 Lamine Yamal emulates football icon with first World Cup goal | OneFootball

Lamine Yamal needed just 10 minutes to find the back of the net on his first World Cup start.

After a disappointing draw against Cabo Verde in their opening game, Luis de la Fuente's side needed a strong start against Saudi Arabia.

They did exactly that, and with 10 minutes gone, a dangerous ball across the face of goal was turned into the net by Yamal at the back post.

In doing so, Yamal became only the second player aged 18 or younger to open the scoring in a World Cup match.

The other was 17-year-old Pelé for Brazil against Wales in 1958. Talk about emulating a legend.

Spain are certainly not lacking for goals, as 10 minutes later they scored their second and third courtesy of a quickfire double from Mikel Oyarzabal.

After a slow start to the tournament, Spain and Yamal have certainly arrived!
