Barcelona are being linked with Wesley Fofana, who is not having the best time at Chelsea this season. We’d love a move.

Sacha Tavolieri is today linking Barcelona with interest in Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana.

The defender has been “offered” to the Catalan club, and his name has been “added to an extended internal list.”

Alessandro Bastoni of Inter is their top choice, but may prove difficult to sign. Fofana is now part of the queue behind him. The Frenchman “remains highly regarded for his inherent qualities”, even if his serious injury issues are something of a red flag.

Chelsea are said to wait €30m plus bonuses for Fofana, whom they signed for €80m not long ago.

Talk about “too good to be true.” Fofana has spent most of his time at Chelsea injured, and this season he’s been pretty dreadful when he’s actually played. Not only that, his bad attitude on the pitch give all the signs we need that he’s part of the toxic, uncompetitive dressing room we’ve created.

Selling him cut-price to Barcelona would be a dream scenario. We just can’t imagine they’d be too interested, given the above.

Joao Pedro is also a target for Barcelona, and the Catalan giants have already met with the player’s representatives.

JP’s deal was just the sort Chelsea need to be doing more of – proven Premier League players who can improve the first team right away.
