Inter are reportedly irritated that Lautaro Martinez will travel to Angola for an Argentina friendly, but Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, Nahuel Molina and Giuliano Simeone will be rested ahead of the Champions League clash.

The Nerazzurri are set to go head-to-head with Diego Simeone’s side at the Wanda Metropolitano on November 23 in the Champions League.

A large portion of the squads from both sides will be away on international duty, but one fixture in particular has caused controversy.

Argentina are reportedly going to pocket circa €12m from their friendly match organised in Angola on Friday November 14.

However, the Argentine football federation confirmed that Julian Alvarez, Nahuel Molina and Giuliano Simeone will not be making the trip to Africa because they failed to complete the vaccination procedure.

They are not fully vaccinated for yellow fever, a mosquito-borne viral disease, and will therefore not be allowed to enter Angola.

It means the trio will be returning early to work with Atletico Madrid and be well-rested ahead of their match against Inter.

Lautaro Martinez therefore has an extra match and journey to deal with before next Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan in Serie A and the Atletico Madrid clash.
