Lavelli's debut: "As an Inter fan, I enjoyed every moment"

2026 opened with a wonderful and well-deserved gift for Matteo Lavelli. The forward, born on December 8 2006, made his senior debut for Inter in the closing stages of the Serie A match against Bologna. Having made 18 appearances this season for the Under-23s (scoring once, in the Serie C Coppa Italia) and five for the Under-20s (with two goals), he came on in the 83rd minute, replacing Marcus Thuram.

Cristian Chivu, who coached him in Inter’s youth system, gave him his chance in the final minutes of the match against Bologna, pairing him up front with another Inter academy product, Pio Esposito.
