Lazio ‘agree’ Markmann deal with Nordsjælland, player decision awaited | OneFootball

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio have agreed a deal with Nordsjælland for 19-year-old defender Noah Markmann, though the move depends on a final decision from the player and his family.

Markmann rose through the club’s ranks, broke into the first team in 2024 and became a regular last season. With his contract up in June 2027, Nordsjælland prefer to sell now rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.

Despite adding Danilho Doekhi on a free, Lazio want another centre-back for Gennaro Gattuso. Mario Gila has joined AC Milan, while Alessio Romagnoli remains on the market after his proposed move to Al-Sadd stalled.

The agreement is understood to be worth six million plus two million in add-ons, with Angelo Fabiani meeting the Danes’ terms. Even so, the club are not at the finish line until the player decides.

Interest has also arrived from Türkiye, notably Trabzonspor, and Premier League clubs could yet enter the picture in the coming days, which may give Markmann pause.

Lazio had made Sergi Dominguez their leading defensive target this summer but have not found an agreement with Dinamo Zagreb. Pietro Comuzzo, viewed as a fallback, is now close to joining Torino.
