Organised supporter groups of Lazio and Inter will stay away from Saturday’s Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico, with Lazio’s ultras continuing their protest against the club’s ownership and Inter groups joining in solidarity.

According to Radio Laziale, representatives of Lazio’s organised groups confirmed the boycott and said both sets of fans would instead gather at Ponte Milvio before kick-off.

The action forms part of a broader protest that has marked the second half of Lazio’s season. It is also being presented as tactical, with the Coppa Italia final against Inter four days later at the same venue.

Group representatives added they would be inside the stadium for the final, while remaining outside for the league fixture is intended to share the build-up together and relay messages to supporters.

They also called for clarity and unity on Wednesday and urged fans to arrive early for the showpiece.
