Lazio are reshaping key areas of their squad, with Daniel Maldini set to join and young goalkeeper Edoardo Motta arriving from Reggiana. Christos Mandas is nearing a move to Bournemouth.

Goal reports that Lazio have opened preliminary talks over a new deal for first-choice goalkeeper Ivan Provedel. His current contract runs until 2027, and the club want greater long-term stability in goal, despite interest from elsewhere.

Maldini, a trequartista, has completed medical tests in Rome and is expected to sign before linking up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad. Lazio hope he can be available this week, adding creativity behind the forwards.

Between the posts, Motta, born in 2005, joins on a permanent deal and is expected to become Provedel’s deputy once Mandas finalises his anticipated switch to Bournemouth.

Motta is regarded as one of Serie B’s promising young keepers, noted for his physical presence and ability to play out from the back, traits Lazio value. Provedel remains central to the project as the club refresh competition in his position.
