Lazio are reportedly clinging on to Loum Tchaouna who has at least one offer on the table from PSV Eindhoven.
The 21-year-old joined the Biancocelesti on loan last summer following his breakthrough at Salernitana, but he has yet to carve himself a regular starting role in Marco Baroni’s plans, as Gustav Isaksen remains the first choice on the right wing. Nevertheless, the talented France U21 star apparently has several suitors on the market who would be happy to acquire his services.
According to transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, PSV Eindhoven have already agreed personal terms with Tchaouna before submitting an official bid to Lazio, offering to sign the winger on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. The package is reportedly worth €13 million in addition to bonuses.
For his part, Alfredo Pedulla reveals that PSV’s bid is worth €11 million but could improve in the coming hours. Nevertheless, the Italian journalist insists that the Biancocelesti remain defiant, refusing to part ways with their youngster.
Moreover, the player’s agent, Badou Sambague, revealed to LazioPress the list of clubs who have enquired about his client. He also adds that Tchaouna would like to stay at Formello, but claims Baroni is seeking a replacement.
Bologna, Feyenoord, Burnley and Stuttgart are interested in Loum. We are waiting, we hope to stay, but the coach wants another player.
This could be a reference to Baroni’s old Hellas Verona pupil Cyril Ngonge who has been linked with a possible deadline-day move to Lazio amidst his Napoli struggles. Therefore, it remains to be seen if the Biancocelesti will manage to strike an agreement with the 24-year-old Belgian which would likely send Tchaouna packing.
