Lazio ‘to renew push’ for Sergi Dominguez while assessing Comuzzo | OneFootball

Lazio are monitoring Fiorentina’s Pietro Comuzzo as they reshape their defence, with Torino and Sassuolo also in the frame. The 21-year-old is not believed to be their primary target.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio still view Sergi Dominguez as the priority and plan to try again with Dinamo Zagreb after talks last week did not yield an agreement. Comuzzo remains an active alternative.

Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli have departed, while Patric and Samuel Gigot are still dealing with long-term issues. Oliver Provstgaard has emerged as their most reliable centre-back and Danilho Doekhi arrived on a free earlier this week.

Comuzzo’s valuation had peaked around €35-40 million after his 2024/25 breakthrough, but Fiorentina’s poor campaign has tempered that, even though he made two senior Italy appearances last month under caretaker Silvio Baldini in friendlies.

He is now surplus in Florence following the arrivals of Viery and Radu Dragusin, who join Luca Ranieri and Marin Pongracic in Fabio Grosso’s options. That depth could ease a move if an acceptable offer comes.
