Burnley are suddenly closing in on an agreement with Lazio for the transfer of Loum Tchaouna who had only joined the Italian capital club last summer.
The newly-promoted Premier League side will be keen to bolster its ranks with quality players, especially after watching Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton immediately return to the Championship after failing to cope with the high levels of their EPL foes.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Burnley are now close to finalizing the transfer of Tchaouna in a move that went under the radar. The deal is now believed to be in its final stages, with the two clubs sorting out the final details.

It remains to be seen whether this will be a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. Di Marzio expects Lazio to receive a fee in the region of €13-15, which means the Biancocelesti are set to make a profit, having spent circa €9 million to buy the French winger from Salernitana last summer.
The 21-year-old failed to replicate the promise he showed during his time at Salerno, only registering two goals and one assist in his 37 appearances for Lazio. Maurizio Sarri will be looking to trim his squad to just 19-20 outfielders, so it remains to be seen if Tchaouna will be replaced with another winger.
