Keith Andrews made two changes for the game, with Ethan Pinnock making his first start since December 2025 and Yehor Yarmoliuk also coming in from the off. Mikkel Damsgaard and Dango Ouattara were the players they replaced, with the former unavailable and the latter on the bench.
Before the game, there was a minute of applause for Chris Loftus and Kevin Speight, who were killed in Istanbul on the eve of Leeds' UEFA Cup semi-final tie against Galatasaray in April 2000.
The first shot of the encounter came on 17 minutes, when Michael Kayode's long throw was aimed into the six-yard box and flicked towards goal by Nathan Collins. It was never really troubling goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who caught the ball comfortably.
Leeds had a chance of their own shortly after, when Jayden Bogle's deflected cross looked like it was falling to Caoimhín Kelleher, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin out-jumped him and headed goalwards. Kayode was there to head it partially away, before it was cleared fully by his team-mate.
Both sides had half-chances before the break, which included an Igor Thiago shot that went wide and a Pinnock header into the gloves of Darlow, but nothing could break the deadlock.

Just a minute into the second half, an Anton Stach shot was blocked at one end, before the visitors had a good opportunity at the other. Thiago nodded it on to Mathias Jensen, who looked to run into the space ahead of him in the final third; the midfielder took a slightly heavy touch and shot from a tight angle, which hit the side netting.
Ampadu had a good effort for Daniel Farke's side on 55 minutes, when the midfielder picked it up about 30 yards from goal. He drove forward and hit a rasping drive straight down the throat of Kelleher.
It was a game of few chances, but Leeds arguably had the better of the second period. With 15 minutes to play, Ao Tanaka struck from the edge of the box, but it was deflected away well by a Bees player.
Leeds had some set-pieces as the game ticked into stoppage-time, which the west Londoners defended well, with both Thiago and Collins clearing well to secure a clean sheet and come away with a point.

Keith Andrews shared how proud he was of the players and staff after Brentford's goalless draw at Elland Road.
"A hard-fought, hard-earned and well-deserved point," said Andrews.
"I think it’s fair to say we were stretched coming into the game following a disrupted week.
"The players, I have to say, were absolutely amazing in how they dealt with the change of what we planned and how we went about things. A clean sheet was huge and how we defended the box was sensational.
"In the last five or 10 minutes, regardless of what happened, all I would have been saying to the players at the end of the game would’ve been about the pride I feel every time I see them play, the staff included."
Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock has reflected on the Bees' draw on Saturday night.
"We knew what today was going to be," Pinnock stated. "Elland Road, away, it's really tough, the fans get involved, and we just wanted to keep them as quiet as we could.
"We wanted to work hard for each other and stick to our game plan... we didn't manage to score, but it was good for us to keep a clean sheet."
He added: "I think we did really well, we limited them, they had some shots from outside the box and got some crosses in, but they didn't have a big threat towards our goal.
"We could have been a bit more patient in the final third to find the right pass, but the work rate was unbelievable and the boys did themselves proud today."
