According to Leeds Live, Leeds United have a verbal agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign Facundo Buonanotte, with the 21-year-old set to be recalled from his Chelsea loan to join for the rest of the season.

He is due to undergo a medical at Elland Road, with both Brighton and Chelsea having approved the move.

The Argentinian has made only one Premier League appearance for Chelsea this season. He has, however, featured in the cups, recording three outings across the Champions League and Carabao Cup, plus another in the FA Cup during a 5-1 win over Charlton at the weekend.

Buonanotte joined Brighton from Rosario in 2023 and has five goals and two assists from 50 appearances.

Daniel Farke’s side have been linked with further January additions, including reinforcements up front. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in form for the Whites, contributing to an unbeaten run in seven of their last eight matches, but Leeds could look for a partner for the Englishman.
