Leeds was buzzing as England supporters geared up for a late World Cup last-16 meeting with Mexico, rescheduled to a 2am UK kick-off after a weather delay.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, fans gathered at the Beck and Call pub this evening, determined to keep spirits high before the late start. Supporters hoped to see whether England could book a quarter-final spot.

The match had been scheduled for 6pm local time, 1am in the UK, but the stadium activated its thunderstorm protocol less than an hour beforehand. Kick-off was pushed to 7pm local time, 2am in the UK.

Bukayo Saka, Anthony Gordon and Jarell Quansah returned to the England side as Thomas Tuchel made three changes for the last-16 tie at the Estadio Azteca, which was delayed by an hour.

Saka came in for Arsenal team-mate Noni Madueke on the right, while Gordon, rewarded for his two assists against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday, replaced Marcus Rashford on the left.

Quansah was restored at right-back after overcoming an ankle injury sustained against Panama in the final group game, with Djed Spence out due to a muscle issue.
