Leeds United have opened talks with Fiorentina over Jack Harrison, while the Serie A club are exploring a move for Jaka Bijol. Corriere della Sera reports that the Slovenian centre-back is on their shortlist.
Bijol struggled for minutes early in the season as Pascal Struijk’s form kept him out. In October he admitted he was unhappy with his game time but insisted he would be ready when chances came.
He has since forced his way in and has started 11 Premier League matches. Fiorentina are said to view him as an option after missing out on Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin, yet a January exit looks unlikely given his growing importance under Daniel Farke.
Harrison’s position appears different, with a departure now looking increasingly possible. Talks are not yet advanced, and early indications point to a loan with an option to buy.
Farke has said this month he does not plan to let players leave from a tight group. Harrison has not featured in the Premier League since November 9, though he played the full 90 in Sunday’s FA Cup win over Derby County, only his third start of the season.
