Leeds United posted record revenue of £137m in their 2024/25 title-winning season but still recorded a pre-tax loss of £49.2m. The loss was down from £60.8m a year earlier. The figures underline pressure under Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Commercial income rose to £58.1m, up more than 34 per cent from £43.3m and higher than in any of their three Premier League seasons. According to The Athletic, that total ranks ninth among English clubs, including those in the Premier League.

Matchday revenue edged up to £31.6m from 2023/24, while broadcast income fell from £53.6m to £47.2m. Total revenue set a Championship record and was seven per cent higher than their 2023/24 peak.

Leeds’ three-year rolling loss stands at £143.7m for 2022 to 2025, more than double the £61m permitted under PSR. Certain expenses can be deducted from the calculation.

Player wages reached £107.7m, up 28 per cent year on year, with an average weekly salary of £45,000. Among published accounts, Sunderland are next on £54m, while Burnley have yet to file.

Net football debt fell 87 per cent, from £128.3m to £16.3m, after injections from the 49ers enterprise ownership group to support summer investment. Investor funding totalled £108m in 2024/25.
