Leeds United have filed 2024/25 accounts showing record revenue of £137m during their title-winning Championship campaign, yet a pre-tax loss of £49.2m underlines a tight PSR outlook. The total is a Championship record, up 7% on their previous best in 2023/24.

Commercial income jumped to £58.1m, more than 34% up on £43.3m and higher than in any of their three Premier League seasons. According to The Athletic, that figure ranks ninth across English clubs.

Matchday revenue was £31.6m, a slight year-on-year rise, while broadcast income slipped from £53.6m to £47.2m. Leeds are the only club in the United Kingdom’s third largest metropolitan area, a position that underpins commercial potential and could aid long-term Premier League retention.

Despite the top-line growth, Leeds posted a reduced pre-tax deficit for the year to June 2025, down from £60.8m, taking the three-year rolling loss to £143.7m. That exceeds the £61m PSR threshold for 2022 to 2025, although certain costs can be excluded from calculations.

The wage bill reached £107.7m, a 28% rise on 2023/24, with an average weekly salary of £45,000. It is the highest among Championship clubs to have published figures so far, with Sunderland next on £54m and Burnley yet to report.

Football net debt fell 87% from £128.3m to £16.3m, helped by funding from the 49ers ownership group to support summer investment. Investor cash during 2024/25 totalled £108m.
