Leeds United have set their sights on signing AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, according to The Athletic.
The newly promoted club are eager to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes, with survival in the Premier League their primary aim.
They are close to finalising a deal for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after he departed from Everton.
Manager Daniel Farke admires the Swiss international’s ability, with his versatility and technical quality seen as a good fit for Leeds’ style.
There has been no official bid or direct talks with Milan at this stage. However, Okafor remains on their shortlist for the final weeks of the transfer window.
Okafor joined Milan in July 2023 and has since made 53 appearances, scoring seven goals. His time in Italy has been affected by several short-term injuries.
Across two seasons with the Serie A side, those injuries have caused him to miss 24 matches. Despite this, he remains highly regarded for his pace and attacking threat.
He spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Napoli, making four appearances and winning the Serie A title as part of the squad.
A proposed loan move to RB Leipzig collapsed before completion in January, keeping him in Italy for the remainder of the campaign.
Okafor has been capped 24 times by Switzerland, scoring twice. He has represented his country at the World Cup.
Known for his speed, close control and direct dribbling, Okafor is comfortable cutting inside from the left to strike with his right foot.
His high work rate without the ball and ability to press opponents make him valuable in both attacking and defensive phases. He is also capable of making solo runs to create chances.
Leeds’ interest signals their determination to secure more attacking firepower, as they aim to compete strongly in the top flight this season.
