Leeds United and Daniel Farke have been handed a fitness boost, with Anton Stach returning from Germany duty largely untested after sitting out the 2-1 win over Ghana.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the 27-year-old earned his first Germany call-up in four years for warm-up friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana under Julian Nagelsmann.
Against Switzerland, Stach featured for 10 minutes with the score at 3-3, and Germany edged it 4-3. Club-level teammate Noah Okafor was an unused substitute for the opposition.
On Monday in Stuttgart, Stach stayed on the bench as Kai Havertz and Deniz Undav scored in a 2-1 victory. With relaxed friendly rules, Nagelsmann made eight changes but did not use the Leeds midfielder.
Stach has been virtually ever-present for Farke, missing only a handful of Premier League fixtures. Before the break he completed 90 minutes against Manchester City, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Brentford.
He now returns with only 10 minutes in his legs. Leeds visit West Ham in an FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday, before resuming Premier League action at Manchester United on Monday, April 13.
It remains to be seen how strong a side Farke fields at the London Stadium, with a possible Wembley trip weighed against the priority of survival. A win would build momentum, although those involved could risk injury.
Farke will take comfort from internationals coming back unscathed and refreshed. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also not featured this week after England sent him back following his substitute outing against Uruguay.
