Leeds United confirm XI vs Sunderland as summer signings start in New Jersey | OneFootball

Leeds United have confirmed their line-up to face Sunderland in New Jersey, with summer arrivals Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic handed first starts.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Whites are seeking a first pre-season win at the Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Their US tour opened with a 3-2 defeat to Championship outfit Wrexham in Tampa, with Joel Piroe and Sean Longstaff on the scoresheet.

Daniel Farke rotated heavily for that game, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jaka Bijol missing through minor injury issues. Only Ao Tanaka featured from the World Cup quartet and Wilson came on at half-time.

Wilson is set to start on the right, Luka Nmecha leads the line and Callum Mills is the sole academy player in the XI.

Ethan Ampadu drops to the bench, with Tanaka partnering last weekend’s scorer Longstaff in midfield. Jayden Bogle and the returning Gabriel Gudmundsson are at wing-back.

Muharemovic, a £34million signing, starts in what looks like a back three alongside Joe Rodon and Sebastiaan Bornauw, with Alex Cairns in goal.
