Leeds United have confirmed changes to matchday parking for next season as Elland Road’s redevelopment continues. The Fullerton Car Park will be closed, with off-site parking secured as a replacement.

After talks with Leeds City Council, the club will manage and operate council car parks around the ground on matchdays. The club said in a statement that it will digitise the system to speed entry and ease congestion.

All spaces must be booked in advance via the club’s online ticketing platform, with no pay-on-the-day option at any council car park. The new approach will apply to pre-season friendlies against RB Leipzig on Saturday August 8 and FC Augsburg on August 15.

Work to expand Elland Road to up to 53,000 is already under way, initially centred on the West Stand, with parts of the structure removed and the floodlights taken down. Construction activity is expected to remain visible throughout the 2026/27 campaign. The club and council are progressing wider travel plans to prevent queues backing onto public highways, with further announcements to come.

Leeds’ first home Premier League fixture is against Brentford on Sunday August 30, the same weekend as Leeds Festival.

“No doubt there'll be some disruptions here and there,” he said. He told yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk earlier this summer. “So there will be disruptions and probably some annoyances and hopefully everybody can just bear with us as we get through.”
