Joe Gelhardt returned from a calf injury for Hull, coming off the bench in a 3-0 win at Preston, with updates on loanees Largie Ramazani and Mateo Joseph.

yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk reports Gelhardt rejoined Hull on loan for 2025-26 after a spell there last season. He had eight in his previous 10 before the 4-1 loss to Middlesbrough, and Sergej Jakirovic projected around five weeks out. He returned to training before Tuesday’s match.

He came on in the 69th minute with Hull 3-0 up. There were no further goals and Preston’s Milutin Osmajic was sent off late for a headbutt.

Gelhardt is one of five Leeds attackers on loan, alongside Joseph at Mallorca, Ramazani at Valencia, Harry Gray at Rotherham United and Jack Harrison at Fiorentina.

Ramazani has recently returned from injury but stayed on the bench for Sunday’s 1-0 win at Getafe under boss Carlos Corberan, having featured in the previous seven games. He is yet to start a La Liga match and has two assists, one in the league and one in the Copa del Rey.

Joseph made his 13th league start for Mallorca in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Athletic Bilbao and has two goals and two assists from 20 appearances.

Teenager Gray joined League One Rotherham on loan last week and played the full match in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Stockport. Rotherham host AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Harrison completed a loan to Fiorentina on Monday and could debut in Saturday’s Serie A home game against Cagliari.
