Leeds United have made contact over a free transfer for Fulham winger Harry Wilson this summer, TEAMtalk reports. With Wilfried Gnonto’s proposed departure set to create a vacancy on the flanks, the club are targeting wide reinforcements.
Wilson, 29, is due to become a free agent at the end of the month after Fulham were unable to agree new terms despite their efforts. He delivered 10 goals and seven assists in 36 Premier League matches in 2025-26.
The move would align with 49ers Enterprises’ push for smart, high-value recruitment, securing proven Premier League quality without a fee, as shown by Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s arrival last year. Leeds also hope their Welsh core of Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Dan James and Karl Darlow can help their case.
Aston Villa are seen as strong favourites, with renewed talks expected with Wilson’s camp this week as Unai Emery seeks extra attacking options for another European campaign. Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham have also made moves, and there is overseas interest from Fenerbahce and Ligue 1 clubs.
On paper Wilson fits what Daniel Farke wants out wide. The question is whether Leeds can overcome Villa’s pull, with the club shaping a plan that leans on their Welsh contingent to bring him to West Yorkshire.
