Leeds United roared back from two down to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge, with Jayden Bogle outstanding and Sebastiaan Bornauw enduring a difficult night.

Leeds Live reports that Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Staach and Pascal Struijk missed out through illness.

The hosts struck first as Cole Palmer found space between the lines and slipped Joao Pedro through to lift the opener over Karl Darlow.

Palmer then converted a penalty after Jaka Bijol shoved Pedro. Bogle was fouled by Moises Caicedo soon after, and Lukas Nmecha buried the spot-kick to halve the deficit.

Noah Okafor came on and, after Bogle’s persistence forced a loose ball, tapped into an empty net for the equaliser. Chelsea pushed but could not find a third, and Palmer volleyed over from close range late on.

In the ratings, Darlow was sharp off his line. James Justin and Joe Rodon improved markedly after the interval, while captain Ethan Ampadu battled on his return.

Bornauw was booked and withdrawn early in the second half, and Bijol’s rash shove yielded Chelsea’s second. Gabriel Gudmundsson found Estevao and Malo Gusto hard to contain.

Brenden Aaronson’s runs stretched the back line, Nmecha was clinical from the spot, and Okafor made a major impact off the bench. Bogle was judged star man for winning a penalty and creating the leveller. Daniel Farke’s changes turned the tide and ended a run of seven straight Leeds defeats at Stamford Bridge.
