Leeds United full-back Gabi Gudmundsson has moved to ease fears after a knee knock on Sweden duty, issuing a reassuring update ahead of Tuesday’s play-off final against Poland.

The player said in a post that "See you on Tuesday."

Left back Gudmundsson has been one of United’s standout performers since arriving from Lille last summer, and the 26-year-old is also pushing for a World Cup berth with Sweden this summer.

Sweden finished bottom of their qualification group but reached the play-offs through their Nations League ranking, then beat Ukraine 3-1 on Thursday to move one game from qualification.

Gudmundsson started that match, winning his 22nd cap, but took a knock to his knee in the second half. He tried to continue before being substituted, and was pictured with an ice pack afterwards.
