Bookmakers have issued an updated projection of the 2026-27 Premier League, with Arsenal out in front and Leeds United preparing for a testing second campaign back.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the latest prices underpin a predicted final table that is being refreshed regularly with seven weeks until kick-off.
Leeds and Sunderland both defied the usual bounce-back trend in 2025-26. Leeds finished 14th, eight points clear of danger, while Sunderland claimed seventh and a Europa League place.
Burnley went straight back down, joining rock-bottom Wolves and West Ham, whose relegation was sealed on the final day as fourth-bottom Tottenham survived.
Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City come up as champions, runners-up and play-off winners respectively for 2026-27. Chairman Paraag Marathe has already warned how demanding a club’s second season can be.
Leeds ended last term above Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, and only two points behind Everton and Newcastle United.
Off the pitch, Vitor Pereira has departed Forest, and outgoing Palace head coach Oliver Glasner is set to be appointed as his successor.
The bookies’ predicted top six reads: first Arsenal, second Manchester City, third Liverpool, fourth Manchester United, fifth Chelsea, sixth Tottenham Hotspur. Arsenal are 6-4 favourites, City are 7-2, with Liverpool 6-1, United 13-2, Chelsea 11-1 and Tottenham 28-1.
