Express and Star reports that Leeds United are tracking Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci ahead of the summer window. They see a player already operating at Premier League level, and Wolves’ collapse has put him within reach.

Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Elland Road sharpened the focus on players like Krejci. In the second half he drew a save from Karl Darlow, one of Wolves’ few meaningful openings.

Krejci has 25 Premier League appearances, two goals and one assist, exceeding 2,100 minutes. That output reflects a regular starter in a struggling side, not mere depth.

His rise has been steady. He made more than 50 senior appearances for Zbrojovka Brno before moving to Sparta Prague, where he became captain and a central figure.

He switched to Girona in June 2024 on a five-year deal, playing 37 times in all competitions, scoring twice and featuring seven times in Europe.

He is six foot three and left-footed, comfortable stepping into midfield and capable on the ball. Physically, he looks equipped for the Premier League.

Wolves signed him on 28 August 2025 on a season-long loan from Girona, with clauses to make the deal permanent through to 2030. Wolves are expected to sanction that £25m clause.

Relegation changes the equation, with pressure on wages, squad size and long-term commitments bringing major deals into focus. Leeds see opportunity, and this is about timing as much as ability. They are not chasing potential, they are targeting proof.
