Leeds United are accelerating their recruitment with less than three weeks remaining before the Premier League kicks off, as Daniel Farke targets reinforcements and trims his squad.

According to Leeds Live, two additions are already through the door, Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo for about £34m and Harry Wilson on a free after his Fulham deal expired. Goalkeeper James Trafford is expected to join for £35m, with Manchester City waiting to finalise the arrival of Geronimo Rulli before approving his move.

Leeds also want a back-up striker and are now pursuing a left-back after Gabriel Gudmundsson sustained a hamstring injury in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Liverpool.

The club have lodged what they consider a final offer for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, around £23m plus add-ons, and will not increase it. Saints value the player at £30m, and Charles made 38 appearances last season.

Interest remains in Igor Paixao, though there has been no approach to Marseille. Leeds explored a deal last summer before choosing Noah Okafor, and Paixao, 26, hit 12 goals in 42 games in his first Ligue 1 campaign.

Joe Gelhardt and Largie Ramazani are not in Farke’s plans and are set to leave. Joel Piroe wants to stay but could depart after limited opportunities last term.

Gelhardt is desperate to return to Hull City after helping them win promotion, scoring 15 goals in 44 matches during his 2025/26 loan. Hull want him back before facing Manchester United, while Birmingham City are also interested.
