Leeds United remain in talks for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, with an arrival and a departure both imminent.

According to yorkshireevenpost.co.uk, the 23-year-old Northern Ireland international is a player Leeds like for Daniel Farke’s 2026/27 midfield, but agreement with Southampton has proved difficult. Details of the process, including talk of Crystal Palace entering discussions, have surfaced, but talks remain alive.

Leeds are also in negotiations with the representatives of Julian Brandt, whose Borussia Dortmund contract expires this month. The Germany international has several suitors and could choose European football next season. Leeds remain hopeful of tempting him to the Premier League as they aim to consolidate top-flight status.

The free-agent move for Harry Wilson, agreed last week, is on track. The Wales winger scored 10 Premier League goals for Fulham last season and would offer options on the right and at number 10, plus set-piece threat. An announcement is expected in the coming days.

Outgoing business is advancing, with Pascal Struijk’s switch to Brighton imminent. The left-sided centre-half will be difficult to replace, given his two-footed passing and how well he defended in the Premier League last season.

Juventus defender Lloyd Kelly has emerged as a possible replacement, though he is one of several players Leeds like and he is not being actively pursued at present. Goalkeeper James Trafford is also admired, but there is no movement.
