Sunderland head to Elland Road on Tuesday for a Premier League meeting with Leeds United, with six players unavailable and additional minor concerns to be assessed late.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Regis Le Bris told his Monday press conference the injury picture had not changed and that one or two doubts could be decided close to kick-off, describing the Fulham defeat as probably their worst experience of the season.

The Black Cats lost Romaine Mundle, Joceline Ta Bi, Nordi Mukiele and Brian Brobbey to injuries in the 3-1 home loss to Fulham. Last week Le Bris said Mundle and Ta Bi required further assessment, while Mukiele and Brobbey were likely out for two to four weeks depending on treatment and rehab.

Dennis Cirkin and Reinildo Mandava were already sidelined, Cirkin with a training knock before Fulham and Reinildo with a knee issue that has kept him out since the 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool in the middle of last month. Le Bris added that Cirkin and Reinildo were looking at around another 10 days out, subject to the final stage of rehab.

There was some relief at the weekend’s clash at Bournemouth, with Bertrand Traore returning from a knee injury and captain Granit Xhaka making his first start since his ankle lay-off. Xhaka completed 76 minutes, while Traore appeared in the 69th minute.
