According to Football Italia, Lega Serie A has filed an emergency appeal to move Roma-Lazio and four other fixtures from Monday evening to Sunday morning.

The uncertainty leaves 10 teams entering the weekend without knowing the day or kick-off time for their Week 37 matches.

The Rome derby is at the centre of the dispute, with public safety concerns around rival fan groups and the Italian Open men's singles final at the Foro Italico, the same complex as the Stadio Olimpico.

Lega Serie A’s preference is for the affected games to be played on Sunday at 11.30 UK time, 12.30 CEST, but Rome’s authorities have ruled that timing too close to the tennis event and not feasible on public safety grounds.

The league has now taken the matter to the TAR tribunal and is hoping for a decision tomorrow clarifying when the matches will be played.
